Final Thoughts: Ok, I could go both ways on a set like this. I could completely rip on it because well, it IS a rodeo set… I could say that it is targeted to a very limited audience and it will only appeal to a die-hard fan that also collects trading cards. But here’s an interesting number – 140,000 people attend the NFR in Las Vegas every year! Factor in the 13 million that watch on TV and you’ve got a pretty dedicated audience. The only question is – will they purchase trading cards? It’s a daring and interesting move by Press Pass who hope to capitalize on an untapped market in a stagnant trading card industry. While not a sport I tend to enjoy, am very knowledgeable about or have ever given much thought to for that matter; I still believe it was a gutsy and smart move and look forward to seeing how it pans out as they grab the proverbial bull by the horns.
